Introduction to testing

 

It can be seen from the above table that the current standards for lithium batteries mainly examine the electrical performance and safety performance of lithium batteries from three aspects:

Product safety;

Environmental adaptability;

Electrical performance.

Different standards have different emphases on battery testing

Ø IEC 61960 mainly focuses on the electrical performance test of lithium batteries;

Ø IEC 62133, Japanese JIS C 8714 and KC requirements focus on product use safety and environmental adaptability safety;

Ø GB / T 18287 includes not only part of safety testing items, but also performance testing;

UL 2054 and UL 1642 comprehensively investigate the safety of cells and batteries under various operating conditions, including fault conditions, heavy pressure conditions and combustion conditions.
